CARSON — The autumn release of cutthroat trout into Goose Lake in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest is on hold temporarily.

Repairs to the truck used to haul the fish to the 53-acre lake between Carson and Willard are under way.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife has more than 2,000 cutthroat averaging about a half-pound waiting for release, which is anticipated before end of September.

The department lists its fish releases online at http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/plants/weekly.
