State Department of Corrections officers and Vancouver police arrested a wanted man Thursday in a 9 a.m. raid at 3010 Kauffman Ave.

Corrections officers had been looking for Roy J. Thompson, 32, for months, said Gelinda Amell, community corrections supervisor.

She said Thompson had been convicted of a drug violation and later failed to report to corrections officers. An arrest warrant was issued for him as an absconder.

On Thursday evening, Thompson was being held without bail in the Clark County Jail for the corrections violation, a jail official said. The corrections department will schedule a hearing in about two weeks.
