MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The WNBA has selected Minnesota forward Maya Moore its rookie of the year and Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve its coach of the year.

The league announced the results of media voting for the awards on Friday. Moore and Reeve helped the Lynx to a dominating regular season. They set a franchise record with 27 wins, which was six better than the next closest team in the league.

Moore was the No. 1 overall pick out of Connecticut. She averaged 13.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Reeve helped guide the team to its first playoff appearance in seven years after the team went 13-21 last season.

Moore and Reeve will receive their awards Friday night before the opener of Minnesota’s Western Conference semifinals series against San Antonio.
