Two people were injured Thursday morning when their car was forced off the road by another vehicle near Lacamas Lake, officials said.
The collision happened just before 7:30 a.m. on the 800 block of Northeast 232nd Avenue in Camas.
“Sounds like there was a vehicle going north, attempting a pass in a place they shouldn’t have been passing,” said Sgt. Dennis Pritchard with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
The passing car forced a southbound vehicle off the road. It then struck a tree and its air bags were deployed, he said.
The car may have rolled over but wasn’t blocking the road, according to radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
Two passengers from the car were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Their injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening, Sgt. Pritchard said. Their names and conditions were not available Thursday.
