KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — Kennewick, Wash., police say a 14-year-old boy accused of robbing four middle school classmates at gunpoint after school has been arrested.
Sgt. Ken Lattin says the boy reportedly confronted the Horse Heaven Hills Middle School students on their way home Wednesday and robbed one of them of a cell phone. No one was injured.
School staff learned of the off-campus robbery Thursday and called police.
Lattin tells the Tri-City Herald (http://bit.ly/plR4h6) that the handgun belongs to the teen’s father. It has been recovered.
The boy was booked into juvenile detention for investigation of four counts of robbery.
