Murray State dominates Tennessee State 58-27

MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Casey Brockman broke three of his own Ohio Valley Conference records and tied another in Murray State’s 58-27 rout of Tennessee State on Saturday night.

The junior quarterback finished with a 600 passing yards and seven touchdowns on 45 of 67 attempts. He broke his previous single-game records for passing yards (570), attempts (58) and completions (41). He also tied the record for touchdowns in a game.

Racers’ receiver Patrick Robertson contributed to Brockman’s record-setting day, hauling in seven catches for 115 yards and three touchdowns. Brockman tied the conference TD mark on Robertson’s third score.

Murray State (2-1, 1-0 OVC) dominated both sides of the ball. The Racers rolled up 37 first downs while holding Tennessee State to 8 of 21 third-down conversions.

Dante Thomas led Tennessee State (1-2, 0-1 OVC), rushing for 108 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
