Pet adoption agency holds annual fundraiser

Second Chance Companions, an all-volunteer pet adoption and rescue organization based in Battle Ground, is holding its ninth annual fundraising dinner and auction on Sept. 17.

The Harvest Moon Festival will be emceed by Valerie Hurst of KATU-TV. Music will be by Michael “Soulbake” Baker.

Tickets are $50 per person, $75 for a “patron” and a table of 10 patrons is $500. The event gets under way with a 6 p.m. happy hour and silent auction. Dinner and live auction are at 7 p.m.

The event will be at the Vancouver Heathman Lodge, 7801 N.E. Greenwood Drive. Call Sandy Prue, 360-852-0164, for more information and tickets.
