KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — A Kabul police official says former Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani was killed by a suicide bomber concealing explosives in his turban.

A presidential spokesman says Afghan President Hamid Karzai is cutting short his trip to the United Nations in New York to return to Kabul.
