JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed receiver Chastin West off Green Bay’s practice squad and waived rookie receiver Jamar Newsome.

West joined the Packers as an undrafted rookie in 2010 and spent the entire season on the club’s practice squad. He led the Packers in the 2011 preseason with eight receptions for 153 yards. He was waived in final cuts and was later signed to the practice squad.

West might play Sunday at Carolina. Receivers Jason Hill (hip) and Kassim Osgood (hamstring) are recovering from injuries, and it’s unclear whether they will be ready.

Newsome made Jacksonville’s opening-day roster as an undrafted rookie and was active for Sunday’s game. He did not have a catch.
