FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Fresno State defensive lineman Tristan Okpalaugo has been suspended for the first half of the Bulldogs’ next game for kicking an opponent.
WAC commissioner Karl Benson announced the punishment Tuesday. Okpalaugo will miss the first half of Saturday’s game at Idaho.
Benson says Okpalaugo kicked a North Dakota player with 5:42 remaining in last Saturday’s game. Okpalaugo was ejected from the game but because the foul occurred in the second half he must miss an additional half this week.
Benson says Okpalaugo could be suspended if he violates the WAC sportsmanship code again.
