2 missing hikers found OK near Mount Rainier

GREENWATER, Wash. (AP) — The Pierce County sheriff’s office says two hikers missing in the Cascade foothills near Greenwater have been found and are OK.

KIRO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/oQnl4U ) they were picked up Wednesday by a citizen.

More than two dozen searchers had been looking for the men since they were reported missing Tuesday afternoon in the area off Highway 410 north of Mount Rainier.

The men, one in his 70s and the other in his 80s, were part of a 14-person group from Yakima hiking from Corral Pass to Noble Knob peak. When they returned to the trailhead, the two men were missing.
