BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Defending champion Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina advanced to the quarterfinals of the Nastase Tiriac Trophy on Wednesday, defeating Florent Serra of France 6-1, 6-0.
The top-seeded Chela will meet seventh-seeded Andreas Seppi in the quarterfinals. The Italian defeated Igor Andreev of Russia 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.
Sixth-seeded Potito Starace of Italy withdrew while trailing Pere Riba of Spain 6-1, 3-2.
