Central Park — A riverine area with bridge, a play boat, log walks and lily pad-shaped logs are among the new arrivals at Marshall Community Park. Vancouver-Clark County Nature Explore Club members gathered on Sept. 10 to build the new play area similar to one added to Haagen Community Park in 2010.

The club program, launched in May, is made up of 25 individual clubs composed of approximately 250 members. Each club commits to meet and explore a new park or trail at least once a month throughout the summer. The program was made possible by donations, and the sponsorship of Vancouver-Clark Parks & Recreation and the Parks Foundation of Clark County.
