Felida — Blessed Piecemakers, a local quilting group, recently completed nearly 50 small tote bags to be included in gift boxes distributed worldwide each Christmas season through the Samaritan’s Purse mission project. The shoe boxes also typically contain small gifts such as toys and school supplies. The quilting group meets weekly at Felida Baptist Church, 3027 N.W. 119th St. The church will have a packing party to fill the shoe boxes in November.
