WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans on a Senate panel have failed in an effort to undercut the National Labor Relations Board’s case against Boeing Co.
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham tried to take away the NLRB’s authority to tell a company where it can locate work.
Graham’s proposed amendment to a larger appropriations bill failed on a 15-15 vote in the Senate Appropriations Committee. The NLRB challenged Boeing’s decision to build its 787 Dreamliner aircraft in South Carolina, a right-to-work state.
The House approved a measure similar to Graham’s language last week.
