Voter rally set at WSU Vancouver

Because college students aren’t big voters, the Associated Students of Washington State University Vancouver have cooked up a rally to help change that.

It runs from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the amphitheater of the WSUV campus at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave.

Greg Kimsey, Clark County auditor, will speak on the importance of civil responsibility, and unregistered voters can sign up.

Members of Planned Parenthood, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and other groups will be on scene.

Then they’ll bring in the clowns: Comedians will include Simon Kaufman of New York, Melissa Shoshahi of Los Angeles and Adam Norwest of Seattle.

Also from Seattle, the band Elijah C will give a live performance.

Round Table Pizza will provide food and beverages.

To learn more, call John Anthony Shahor, director of legislative affairs, at 360-546-9523.
