MILAN (AP) — The first round of Serie A games that were not played because of a player strike will be made up Dec. 21.
The decision was made Thursday at an assembly of all 20 clubs.
The opening round was originally scheduled for the weekend of Aug. 27-28. But after an agreement was made to end the strike, the season started with the second round on Sept. 9.
Earlier this month, the Italian players’ association and league signed a temporary collective contract that lasts through June.
