EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A ball of light in the Wednesday night sky was reported by some residents around Bend and west of Eugene.

KTVZ heard from a half-dozen people who reported seeing a very bright white or green light about 8:15 p.m.

The Register Guard reports several callers described a yellow-blue-green light with a flame trail heading west about 8:20 p.m.

It was not the old NASA research satellite which isn’t expected to fall to earth until Friday.
