DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Jamarr Robinson ran for two touchdowns and threw for another, and Bethune-Cookman held on for a 35-31 victory early Friday when Hampton’s apparent game-winning score was overturned by replay.

Isiah Thomas caught a 12-yard pass from David Legree on the game’s final play, but officials ruled Thomas was bobbling the ball as he was tackled in the end zone.

Bethune-Cookman (2-1, 1-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won its fourth straight against Hampton (2-2, 1-1).

The game started 52 minutes late Thursday night due to lightning and did not end until after midnight. There were five lead changes and 22 penalties.

Bethune-Cookman got its final score on a 13-yard pass from Jackie Wilson to Eddie Poole with under 3 minutes left. Wilson threw for two touchdowns in relief of Robinson, who was limited due to a leg injury.

Rodney Scott ran for 131 yards and caught a TD for the Wildcats.
