Man trapped, injured when car hits apartment

LAKEWOOD, Wash. (AP) — Police in Lakewood, Wash., say a car crashed into an apartment, injuring a man inside. Police say the car drove through the wall of a ground floor unit at the Emerald Village Apartments on Friday.

Officers tell KING-TV (http://bit.ly/r8pJlK) that the car hit James Johnson, who was playing X-Box inside the apartment, trapping him underneath the vehicle.

Johnson was freed and taken to a hospital, where his injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The car’s driver was arrested for investigation of DUI.
