ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Washington Redskins safety LaRon Landry says he’s tested his hamstring about “70, 80 percent” as he tries to work his way back for Monday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Landry was limited again in practice Friday but hopes to push the hamstring fully this weekend.

Landry hasn’t played since last Nov. 15 when his season ended early because of an Achilles tendon injury. He pulled his hamstring last month.

Coach Mike Shanahan continues to express caution. He said he doesn’t want to have Landry pull the hamstring again and be out for another six weeks.

The coach says he told Landry: “We need you for the season and not just one game.”

Another defensive starter, cornerback Josh Wilson, was limited in practice with a sore neck and back.
