Woman dead in Willamette River crash ID’d

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon State Medical Examiner has released the identity of a woman found dead after her car crashed through the seawall at a Portland park and into the Willamette River.

She was 48-year-old Lynne M. Salvi of Eugene. The car crashed into the river at Waterfront Park at about 3 a.m. on Friday, and her body was found by Fire Bureau divers.

The medical examiner says the cause of death has not yet been determined. Portland police aren’t releasing any details of the investigation.
