Chargers Garay, Weddle fined for hits vs Patriots

SAN DIEGO (AP) — The NFL says San Diego Chargers defensive tackle Antonio Garay and free safety Eric Weddle have each been fined $15,000 for hits in Sunday’s 35-21 loss at New England.

Garay was fined for hitting quarterback Tom Brady in the knees. Weddle was fined for a helmet-to-helmet hit on an unspecified Patriots player.

The Chargers (1-1) host the Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) on Sunday.
