Union 42, Kelso 0

Four touchdowns by Treve Ensley — including one of Union’s two punt returns for a score — and a stingy third quarter allowed the Titans to pull away.

Ensley, who finished with 172 yards on nine carries, opened the scoring with a 55-yard run late in the first quarter. Moments later, Trent Cowan returned a punt 45 yards for a score. Ensley added two TD runs in the third quarter, and by the time he scored on a 36-yard punt return in the fourth, Union could look ahead to next week’s game against Mountain View.

“We played a real good second half,” Union coach Cale Piland said. “A lot of three-and-outs in the second half, especially the third quarter. We played a good quarter of football in the third quarter tonight.”
