NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Saints have scratched linebacker Jonathan Vilma for Sunday’s home game against Houston, while the Texans have decided to sit out hobbled running back Arian Foster.

Vilma, who hurt his left knee a week earlier against Chicago but played with the injury, sat out practice the past week and had been listed as doubtful.

Foster had been limited in practice with a sore left hamstring after playing sparingly last week against Miami. His backup, Derrick Ward, also is out because of a sprained right ankle, meaning Ben Tate again is Houston’s primary running back.

New Orleans starting cornerback Tracy Porter, who had been listed as questionable this week with a right calf injury, also has been scratched for a second straight game.
