CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Carolina safety Charles Godfrey is out for Sunday’s game against Jacksonville due to a concussion.

Jordan Pugh will replace Godfrey in the starting lineup. Carolina’s other inactives are: quarterback Jimmy Clausen, linebacker Jason Phillips, offensive tackle Lee Ziemba, receiver Kealoha Pilares, tight end Ben Hartsock and defensive tackle Frank Kearse.

The Jaguars had already ruled out defensive end Aaron Kampman (knee) and receiver Kassim Osgood (hamstring), ending Osgood’s streak of 82 consecutive games played. They’re also without defensive end Matt Roth (neck), who leads the team with two sacks. Jacksonville’s other inactives are: defensive back Rod Issac, offensive linemen Jason Spitz and Cameron Bradfield, and defensive lineman C.J. Mosley.

Tight end Marcedes Lewis, receiver Jason Hill and cornerback Derek Cox are returning after missing last week’s game with injuries.
