SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The Arena Football League team in Tulsa, Okla., is relocating to Texas.
The San Antonio Talons said Monday they will play in the Alamodome starting with the 2012 season. They are keeping the same nickname as the Tulsa team that started in the af2 developmental league in 2000.
The Tulsa owners were part of a group that brought back the AFL after it folded in 2009. The Talons qualified for the playoffs last year but experienced declining attendance and rising costs in the 18-team league in 2011.
The Talons will be the second team to move into the Alamodome in less than a year. UTSA started its college program this year.
