Letter: Herrera Beutler job fair on Wednesday

Here is some good news, of someone working hard for Southwest Washington and responding to pleas for more jobs from her constituents. U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, has organized an upcoming jobs fair to be held Sept. 28.

Herrera Beutler uses methods that get input from the folks as to how her agenda should track along with their collective wishes. By using business tours, discussions with local business professionals, concerted efforts to generate informative emails, being available to the media, various local organizational meetings and more personal one-on-one coffee shop meetings, she is listening to your voice. Good for her, and thanks. Many politicians in Washington (both R’s and D’s) have opted out of raucous town hall meetings in an attempt at real constructive pathways to improving our lives. The job fair will be 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay.
