CHEHALIS, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says no charges are likely to be filed against the driver of a car from which a woman jumped to her death on Interstate 5 at Chehalis.

A Chehalis man says he offered a ride Friday to the 27-year-old woman he met at a church in Centralia. He told investigators the car was traveling at freeway speed when she opened the passenger door and jumped.

The Chehalis woman, Jamie M. Jacaway, died at the scene.

The driver stopped and cooperated with investigators. They believe Jacaway jumped voluntarily.
