TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Tampa Bay safety Cody Grimm will miss the rest of the season because of a right knee injury.

The Buccaneers placed the second-year pro on injured reserve Wednesday. He was hurt making a tackle on Atlanta’s Michael Turner during the third quarter of last week’s 16-13 victory over the Falcons.

Corey Lynch likely will fill Grimm’s spot in the starting lineup.

The Bucs also announced that tight end Collin Franklin has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. Center/guard Zane Taylor was signed to the practice squad.
