SEATAC, Wash. (AP) — Emirates Airlines starts daily nonstop flights between Sea-Tac and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in March.

Port of Seattle spokesman Perry Cooper says it will be the first direct connection between Seattle and the Mideast, increasing opportunities for trade and tourism.

The airline will operate Boeing 777 aircraft seating 354 passengers on the 15-hour flight.

Emirates also is adding Dallas-Fort Worth as part of a U.S. expansion. The only other U.S. cities served by the international carrier are Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York-JFK, and Houston.
