ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis Blues forward Jason Arnott is having surgery to remove cataract from his right eye and is expected to be out a week.

The 36-year-old Arnott sign signed a one-year free agent contract in July and is expected to add veteran presence to a roster built around recent high-round draft picks. The procedure was scheduled for Wednesday.

Arnott had 17 goals and 14 assists in 73 games last season for New Jersey and Washington.
