NEW YORK (AP) — Terrelle Pryor’s five-game suspension has been upheld by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
The Oakland Raiders rookie quarterback had appealed his suspension, which were related to NCAA violations he committed while at Ohio State.
Goodell says that Pryor’s decision to leave for the NFL supplemental draft instead of serving a five-game suspension with the Buckeyes this season “smacks of a calculated effort to manipulate our eligibility rules in a way that undermines the integrity of, and public confidence in, those rules.”
