MOHNTON, Pa. (AP) — Antron Brown raced to the No. 1 qualifying position in Top Fuel at the Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway on Saturday.

Brown recorded the quickest pass in a Top Fuel dragster in NHRA history when he had a 3.766 at 325.30 mph during Saturday’s final qualifying efforts.

The pass will earn him the new national E.T. record and a 20-point bonus as long as no one betters the run during Sunday’s eliminations.

Johnny Gray (Funny Car), Jason Line (Pro Stock) and Hector Arana Jr. (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also took advantage of the fast conditions at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Event, as they raced to the No. 1 qualifying positions in their respective categories.
