Vancouver firefighters at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, responded to a report of a car falling on a man who was working beneath it.

Capt. Kevin Murray said a man in his 40s had the car on blocks when it came down and dragged him 6 to 8 feet.

The accident happened at 3201 E. 33rd St, Murray said. He said the man had chest injuries and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Because of medical privacy laws, the man’s name was not released.
