Published: April 2, 2012, 5:00pm

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office on Monday identified the pedestrian who was hit and killed Friday as Eugene Clark Teter, 67, of Vancouver.

Teter was hit and killed by a 1991 Ford Econoline van driven by Sid Sutherland of Brush Prairie around 9:30 p.m. as Teter walked on Northeast 76th Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness who was driving behind Sutherland told deputies that Teter was walking in the travel lanes of the road before he was hit, Sgt. Alex Schoening said on Friday.

Sutherland did not receive a citation.

The investigation is ongoing.
