Overnight liquor sales topic of hearing today

The Columbian
Published: April 2, 2012, 5:00pm

The state’s liquor control board might weaken its rule that bans the selling of alcohol between 2 and 6 a.m., and state officials want Clark County people to weigh in.

If the rule is changed, individual cities could extend the hours that businesses, including bars and clubs, are allowed to sell alcohol. This includes the option to sell alcohol 24/7.

The board will hold a public hearing on the potential rule change from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St.
