WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) — Amway plans to build a $32 million plant at Quincy to process organic herbs and teas grown at Trout Lake Farm near Ephrata.

The Wenatchee World reports (http://is.gd/reYkCQ) the plant announced Monday is part of Amway’s plan to move processing closer to growers.

Trout Lake provides blueberry, oregano, peppermint, nettle, echinacea and other plants used in Amway’s Nutrilite vitamins and supplements.

The Quincy plant is expected to start operating in 2014 with about 30 workers.
