LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — New Nebraska coach Tim Miles has announced that center Jorge Brian Diaz will not return for his senior season with the Cornhuskers.

Diaz missed the last 14 games of the season because of chronic soreness in his feet. He averaged 8.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 16 games.

The 6-foot-11, 244-pound Diaz started 65 of his 81 career games at Nebraska and averaged 9.4 points and 4.2 rebounds.

Miles said Tuesday that Diaz planned to return to his native Puerto Rico.
