TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Armed homeowners have reportedly driven off would-be burglars at Bonney Lake and Gig Harbor.

The incidents Thursday follow Wednesday’s shooting at a Puyallup home where a retired police officer who was awakened by intruders killed a man who threatened him with a crowbar.

At Bonney Lake, authorities say a homeowner fired at a fleeing burglar and may have hit the truck window.

At Gig Harbor, a woman pulled a gun and scared off two teens who tried to enter her house through a dog door.

After the Puyallup shooting deputies arrested a man and woman who dropped off the fatally wounded man at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. They could face murder charges as accomplices to a fatal crime. Deputies are looking for another man who fled.
