Crews battle blaze at Longview grain terminal

LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) — About 40 firefighters battled a fire on a conveyor belt at a new grain terminal in Longview, Wash.

KATU-TV reports (http://bit.ly/Hi7CTU ) smoke could be seen for miles as the blaze smoldered above a ship Saturday morning.

Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue reports that flames did not spread to the Navios Gemini S, a ship registered in Panama, and it was brought under control within hours.

No injuries were reported.
