FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — Fairbanks prosecutors say they’re waiting for results of blood alcohol tests before filing additional charges against a 31-year-old man suspected of driving drunk and crashing his pickup truck into a car, killing two men.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports (http://bit.ly/HqU6lz) Paul Augustus Kirsteatter was arraigned Saturday on charges of assault and driving under the influence. He was ordered held without bail.
Prosecutors say he crossed the centerline of a rural road and crashed into a compact car driven by 22-year-old Colton Fettig of Corvallis, Ore.
The crash killed Fettig and a passenger, 22-year-old Jordan Boggs of North Pole.
Two other passengers in the car from Fairbanks, 18-year-old Gerald Noy and 20-year-old Hannah Gustafson, were injured.
