Albert E. Bennett

Albert E. Bennett, of Washougal, died April 4, 2012, at his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was 77.

To honor Al’s wishes, there will be no service. He will be cremated with his ashes to be sprinkled in a beautiful location by his children. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations can be made to the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon, P.O. Box 82734, Portland, OR 97282, or any local humane society or organization pertaining to nature or the outdoors.

Edward J. Santoro

Edward John Santoro died March 31, 2012, in Woodburn, Ore. He was 64.

A Catholic memorial service was held on April 2.

Alban Briand

Alban Briand, of Camas, died March 31, 2012. He was 89.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 20, in Mt. Dora, Fla. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Lucinda J. Johnson died April 7, 2012, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. She was 64.

Viewing will be held Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home in Camas. A funeral service will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 824 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. Private interment will be held at the Camas Cemetery. Contact Brown’s Funeral Home in Camas at 834-3692 for additional details.

Vearl J. Blackwell

Vearl J. Blackwell, of Washougal, died peacefully at home April 2, 2012. He was 94.

A memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday, April 21, at 3 p.m., at Bethel Community Church. Straub’s Funeral Home and Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Former Camas resident Shirley Rae Gerrish died peacefully April 7, 2012, at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver. She was 61.
