GREENBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — Henrik Lundqvist got the news when he got to the practice rink.

Meet the new Sports Illustrated cover boy for the NHL postseason.

The photogenic New York Rangers goalie took it in stride Tuesday and seemed pleased to have been picked to be the face of the Stanley Cup playoffs. It means his club has had a really good season, and he is a big reason why.

New York is the top-seeded team in the Eastern Conference, one season after sneaking in as the No. 8 seed, and will take on the Ottawa Senators starting Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.
