HOCKINSON — The free-stuff exchange started by a Hockinson cleaning lady has become a tradition.

Donna Aho launched Sharing is Caring in 2009 in response to the poor economy and rising local need. The event is held periodically in the basement of Hockinson Apostolic Lutheran Church, 16108 N.E. 192nd Ave.

Thursday kicks off the fifth event, which will be three days. It will be held 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 26 and 27, and 9 a.m. to noon April 28.

Donations will be accepted from 1-8 p.m. April 24. Many volunteers are needed. Contact Aho at Aho@ flosew@hotmail.com or 360-600-4037 or visit http://sharingiscaringevent.com.
