CHICAGO (AP) — Phoenix goalie Mike Smith has been peppered with 95 shots in two overtime games against the Chicago Blackhawks. He’s turned away 89 of them and the Coyotes’ defense has been difficult to navigate.

Still, the Blackhawks were able to score twice in the closing seconds of regulation — thanks to the offensive play of defenseman Brent Seabrook — and gain a split in the first two games. Now it’s on to Game 3 in Chicago on Tuesday night.

The Blackhawks were waiting Monday to see if they would have rookie forward Andrew Shaw, who was ejected from Game 2 after colliding with Smith behind the goal and knocking him to the ice.
