Inherit the Gold wins Aqueduct’s Action Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Inherit the Gold rallied to beat Isn’t He Perfect by a neck on Sunday in the $75,000 Action Stakes at Aqueduct.

The win gave jockey Eddie Castro a sweep of Aqueduct’s weekend stakes, having captured the Distaff Handicap aboard It’s Tricky on Saturday.

Inherit the Gold, a gray 6-year-old gelding trained by James Hooper, ran the 1 1-8 miles in 1:50.13, paying $11, $4.80 and $2.80.

Isn’t He Perfect returned $7.80 and $4.60, while Tech Fall paid $3 to show.
