Kolb cites lack of communication in Manning chase

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Quarterback Kevin Kolb says he has no hard feelings toward the Arizona Cardinals for their pursuit of Peyton Manning, but he wishes the team had communicated with him better while that highly publicized process was ongoing.

Kolb, in his first public comments on the issue, says he has since talked with coach Ken Whisenhunt about the communication issue and seems satisfied with the results..

Kolb says the failed attempt to get Manning will add a bit of motivation but he says he’s already highly driven by the desire to show the Cardinals he is worth the considerable investment they have made in him.

The quarterback, whose first season with Arizona was plagued by injury, says he knows he is in a fight with John Skelton for the starting job.
