WA firefighters rescue person trapped on balcony

MONTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. (AP) — Firefighters have rescued a person trapped on a balcony of a burning apartment building in Mountlake Terrace.

KOMO-TV (http://is.gd/YY8kDv ) reports the fire broke out just before 7:30 a.m. Monday at the Taluswood Apartments. Leslie Hines with Snohomish County Fire District 1 says firefighters found one person trapped on a third-floor balcony when they arrived to put out the fire.

Hines says the man was safely rescued and no one was hurt in the fire.

Details about the cause of the fire or how many people were displaced was not immediately available.
