Hockinson — How much could you read in 1,000 minutes? Thirty-two students at Tukes Valley Primary School near Battle Ground found out when they participated in a two-week read-a-thon hosted by Usborne Books & More. The students all read for at least 1,000 minutes during the two-week challenge — with the top reader, Robin H., logging 5,702 minutes. That’s more than 95 hours! Robin won an annual pass to the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry. Other prizes included gift cards, Oregon Zoo admission and classroom parties.
